Description:LindenGrove in Waukesha is looking for a Director of NursingJOB SUMMARY:Develops, organizes and maintains a standard of nursing practice that is compliant with entitys objectives and state and federal regulatory agencies.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with all individuals.Maintains a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.Responsible for on-call services, as assigned.Supervises functions, activities and training of nursing personnel.Assures quality of care adhering to best practices around inflectional prevention and control provided by the nursing department.Develops and maintains standards of nursing practice and policies and procedures and provides oversight of practice.Ensures nursing services align with an interdisciplinary process.Ensures that duties of nursing personnel are clearly defined and assigned to staff consistent with their level of educational preparation, experience and licensure.Attains and maintains adequate personnel and supplies in the nursing department.Assesses resident care needs and assists in the development of individual plans of care as needed.Participates in pre-admission screening process for new residents as needed.Participates in committee meetings and interdepartmental meetings that align with Quality Assurance Process Improvement Standards.Assumes responsibility for nursing service compliance to federal, state and local regulations.Participates in budget formation and operates nursing service within the budgetary guidelines.Will follow all department safety rules.Performs other duties, as assigned.Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS:Commitment to quality outcomes and services for all individuals.Ability to relate well to all individuals.Ability to maintain and protect the confidentiality of information.Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions.Ability to adapt to change.EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin.Knowledge and/or experience in geriatrics.Management experience preferred.Knowledge and/or experience with state and federal regulations.#LGRN24by Jobble More...
