Charge Nurse - Senior LivingPosition Overview: As a Charge Nurse in our dynamic senior living community, you will be at the forefront of providing compassionate care and support to our residents. Working closely with the nursing team, you will oversee the delivery of resident-centered care, promote wellness, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a dedicated nursing professional to make a positive impact and grow in a supportive and fulfilling work environment.Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct supervision and guidance to nursing staff, including Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), ensuring adherence to care plans and policies.
- Assess resident needs, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and optimize care delivery.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor resident health status, document observations, and communicate changes to healthcare providers and family members as needed.
- Respond promptly to resident emergencies, assess situations, and initiate appropriate interventions in accordance with established protocols.
- Promote resident independence, dignity, and quality of life through person-centered care practices and meaningful engagement activities.
- Participate in care conferences, interdisciplinary team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes and satisfaction.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing education, support, and guidance to promote professional growth and development.Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current state licensure.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in senior living, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting, with demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Strong knowledge of geriatric nursing principles, medication administration, and regulatory requirements in senior living communities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing needs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
