For more information about Solenis, please visit .The Process Engineer is responsible for executing process deliverables in support of capital projects, evaluating improvement opportunities through technical studies, and supporting corporate sustainability initiatives.Key Accountabilities: - Provide process data sheets for equipment and instrumentation
- Develop project P&ID's and Process Flow Diagrams
- Perform detailed engineering calculations (heat and material balances, hydraulics, heat transfer, etc.)
- Write technical reports to document basis of design and/or justify recommendations
- Data collection and review (equipment files, operating data, maintenance records, technical reports, industry standards, etc.) in support of deliverablesEducation:
- Bachelors degree in chemical engineering or a related field (required)Experience:
- 2-5 years Process Design Engineering or related field
- Basic knowledge of ANSI, OSHA, NFPA, ASME, API and other code and regulatory requirements as they apply to their area of work.
- Good analytical abilities and adept at problem solving. Presentation of calculations and results in an organized manner and orderly record keeping are necessary skills.
- Basic knowledge of the chemical industry and manufacturing processes
- Adept using MS Suite, particualry MS Excel. Proficiency with SINET or similar hydraulic design software preferred.
