Incorporates knowledge of technical functions to provide optional studies while protecting the patient and self from excessive radiation exposure.
Administers oral and IV contrast media as needed.Essential Functions:Performs radiographic procedures in a competent and knowledgeable manner - -Administers contrast media as required for certain exams with approval of a physician - -Assists physicians in performance of non-typical examinations - -Maintains a safe and orderly environment for self, other personnel and patients - -Provides age appropriate care to all patients. - -Assists in the education of students as requiredReports to: Radiology SupervisorMinimum Education
Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology Required - -Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. - -Required Skills
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days

Licenses:
ARRT registered with WV licensure. - -Required Skills
Ability to lift and move heavy objects and cope with acutely ill patients.
