Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) job in Oak Harbor, Washington.Veterans and Military Spouses Encouraged to ApplyCivilian position providing care to the Naval communityMonday-Friday daysCompensation/Benefits:Health and Welfare Fringe Benefits $4.41 per hour$18-22 per hourPaid Time Off - 10 daysPaid Holidays -11 daysPaid Sick Time - 2.154 hours for every 80 hours worked accrual rateCompany-funded match and safe harbor 401(k)Medical, Dental and vision plans availableLife insurance and accidental death plans availableShort-term and long-term disability plans availableTRICARE Supplemental availableSupplemental Benefit plans availableReferral bonusesEmployee Assistance ProgramPet Insurance Plans availableWill Preparation Services availableCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) Job Overview:Ensure patient care is carried out in accordance with the Standards of Care and the policies and procedures of the clinic.Check patients into the clinic.Perform health history and record review (including immunizations, physicals, and clinical preventive services).Perform occupational health and risk factor screening.Provide pertinent health, risk factor, and preventive counseling.Inform the nurse, physician extender, or physician of conditions or potential problems that require immediate attention.Aid in the input of aforementioned data into computer database(s) as required.Record, track and report statistical data as required.Obtain and document pertinent patient and family health problems.Alert provider to conditions that deviate from expected findings; Record and report results.Maintain a record of care.Ensure universal precautions are used in all patient encounters.Recognize emergencies, assist with, or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments such as anaphylaxis, cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, seizure activity, etc.Provide emotional support to patients, families, and caregivers.Ensure maintenance and re-supply of all pharmaceuticals or other necessary materials in the clinic.Ensure upkeep, perform checks of emergency equipment (i.e. oxygen, emergency cart, suction apparatus, etc.), and maintain appropriate logs. Inform charge nurse or LPO of any discrepancy on daily, weekly, or monthly checks.Administer Health Assessment survey to all Active Duty members on an annual basis at time of initial check-in and/or annually during the PHA.Generate, print, compile, and distribute reports from various databases as directed by supervisor.Record health screening information in various databases and/or computer systems including but not limited to CHCS, ADM, AHLTA, HARP, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, ICDB, Tobacco Database '98.Provide patients with health promotion literature as appropriate.Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Job Qualifications:Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP, ABHES, or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.Certification: AAMA CMA or AMT RMAOne year of experience as a Medical Assistant after graduation.Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers by American Heart AssociationCome join our team of healthcare professionals!FSR employs healthcare professionals at government medical facilities providing care to military service members, retirees, and their families.
