Portable Ultrasound Tech (Direct Hire) Position Entry Level Candidates are Encouraged to Apply Compensation $48 - $52 / per hour Job Summary: ATC - Northwest is seeking a talented and dedicated Portable Ultrasound Tech to join the healthcare team for one of our premier clients based in Tacoma, Washington. As a Portable Ultrasound Tech, you will provide quality ultrasound services to patients typically receiving home-based or instructional care. This is a full-time, individual contributor role with a competitive salary of $48 to $52 per hour, paid weekly. - Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients so they feel comfortable with the experience.
- Keep all ultrasound equipment clean and in excellent working order.
- Perform ultrasound exams in home-based care environments.
- Refrain from commenting on ultrasound results with patients.
- Conduct ultrasound exams promptly as indicated on the schedule.
- Immediately notify the physician of any abnormalities or concerns.
- Chart ultrasound results when required.
- Work closely with dispatch personnel on schedules and schedule changes.
- Communicate ultrasound results to the physician or radiology group Requirements:
- Two or more years of experience as an ultrasound technician in all modalities.
- Able to perform Echocardiogram studies is a plus.
- A sonography certificate is required.
- At a minimum an associate degree in diagnostic medical sonography.
- Bachelor's Degree in Sonography is preferred but not required.
- An understanding of human anatomy and functions
- Holds, or can hold, credentials in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Valid driver's license Skills:
