Regional Setting For information on Tacoma and the surrounding area: Part-Time Faculty positions at the college are open continuously and reviewed on a quarter-by-quarter basis. Position Highlights This position is responsible for preparing and teaching courses for first year college level -SPAN& 121, 122, 123. The mission of the Department of World Languages is to cultivate students who become inquisitive scholars, global citizens, linguistically competent and, culturally sensitive through the study of world languages and their cultures. Essential Functions - Prepare, teach, and assess outcomes in assigned courses in accordance with department and college standards
- Assess student learning and use data to improve teaching and learning
- Maintain current knowledge in the field of teaching world languages and effective pedagogy
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications - Fluency in Spanish
- Master's degree Spanish language/culture, teaching, linguistics, or closely related field from an accredited college or university
Preferred Qualifications - Experience teaching at a community college and/or the freshman & sophomore levels. Conditions Of Employment
