*Job Summary:*We are seeking an *Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director* for our established ACGME accredited program in *Salem, Virginia*.*About our program:** Our emergency medicine residency program started in 2019* Full complement of 24 residents*Program director responsibilities include:** Clinical teaching and supervision of residents* Core program clinical teaching* Administration* GME committees/meetings* GME lecturing/teaching conferences* GME recruiting/interviewing* GME research/scholarly activity* Resident evaluation/mentoring* Program evaluationThe program director will oversee the success and maintenance of certification of the program in compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements and the policies and procedures of the sponsoring institution.Report directly to the regional medical director and hospital CEO.*About our hospital:** LewisGale Medical Center is a fully accredited, 506-bed acute care facility* Two free-standing EDs in addition to the main medical center* Accredited Stroke Center* Accredited Chest Pain Center* The LewisGale Regional Health System includes four hospitals, two cancer centers, and six outpatient centers* We partner with hundreds of physicians both independent and employed who share our common commitment of providing superior, compassionate care and evidence-based medicine.
