Job Description Based on multiple factors, remote work may be a possibility for this position, at the discretion of the business.BAE Systems Manassas is looking for an ASIC Technology Subcontract Program Manager to consolidate supplier requirements across the portfolio and coordinate Foundry, ASIC Test and ASIC Manufacturing subcontracts. This Program Manager will also lead negotiation, acquisition and support activities for complex IP blocks in state-of-the-art microelectronics technology nodes. From semiconductor components to ASICs to Circuit Card Assemblies and Subsystems, our products are ubiquitous throughout Earth's orbit and beyond.We currently have an opening for a Program Manager II in the Space Systems business area. The role provides an opportunity within the Space Systems Business Area's Program management function. Based in Manassas, VA and reporting to the Space Computers & Products Director, this position is a great opportunity for an employee interested in furthering their Program Management career and leading technology development for Space applications.As a Program Manager II, this individual shall: - Have demonstrated experience managing technical scope, cost and schedule performance of external suppliers
- Have demonstrated experience leading a small team in negotiation of 3rd party microelectronics IP licenses
- Have demonstrated, proven Program Management skills such as cost, schedule, earned value, scope and risk management expertise
- Be familiar with Space quality manufacturing and test
- Represent BAE Systems as the primary Subcontractor interface
- Be highly motivated to work the front end of the business capture process prior to RFP and to effectively lead proposal teams for small and intermediate sized opportunities
- Have a microelectronics technical background and be able to interact with internal and Subcontractor engineers
- Lead the execution of a portfolio of projects including ASIC development and production programs
- Provide leadership and mentoring to emerging program managers
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Business Development and Engineering to identify new business opportunities and execution strategies for Space Systems Product Lines
- Collaborate with Operations to understand and resolve procurement and manufacturing issues
- Make strategic decisions in a fast paced environment
- Ensure that opportunities receive the necessary support from the functional organizations to achieve program objectives
- Ensure effective utilization of New Business resources within the business area to achieve technical and competitive advantages in the marketplace
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills to interface with the program team, line and executive management, customers and suppliersPlease note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship statusRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
- Preferably a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
- Ability to collaborate with engineering to identify IP requirements and identify candidates for licensing.
- Ability to collaborate with Legal and Subcontract Admins to draft and negotiate IP license agreements.
- Ability to manage key suppliers including 3rd party IP providersAbility to collaborate with PMs, Contracts & Finance Understanding of assertion of commerciality and managing catalog of commercial IP for external licensing.
- Should have general semiconductor technology and test understanding.
- Demonstrated proven Microelectronics Technology Program Management skills
- Excellent organizational skills in order to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in order to interact with and present to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Be comfortable working in an unstructured environment where the day to day responsibilities are fluid Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and ProjectPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
