We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a Laborer Ship ProvisioningAs a Laborer, you will be responsible for organizing and provisioning ships with necessary supplies and equipment in the Norfolk areaYou will work closely with the provisioning team to ensure smooth and efficient operationshttps://versability-resources-inc.prismhr-hire.com/job/698509/laborer-norfolk-ship-provisioning-logistics-food-provisions Our Laborer position participates in the Ability One program; allowing individuals with significant disabilities to work in various positions within our Government Contracted positionsBenefits: Health and Welfare Benefit additional $4.77 Dental and Vision coverage option 401k Responsibilities: Assist with loading and unloading provisions unto various naval shipsEnsure accurate counting and recording of all incoming and outgoing itemsSort, organize, and label supplies and equipment in designated storage areasPack and secure supplies for safe transportationPrepare orders and validate accuracy against shipping instructions and documentationConduct inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels and assist with inventory managementComplete and maintain paperwork and records related to shipping, receiving, and inventory controlFollow proper safety protocols and maintain a safe working environmentCollaborate with team members and management to ensure a smooth operationProvide assistance in other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Proven work experience as a laborer or in a similar role is a plus.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and maintenance procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
