With extensive development and manufacturing expertise and a wide range of flavors, ingredients, and colors available, we can work with complex formulations to help create engaging new products consumers will love.--The Team Lead provides general leadership to bagging production team. Ensures that safety and quality standards are maintained while capturing established productivity targets. Supports continuous improvement activities and acts as a subject matter expert on processes and equipment within the department. The Team Lead complies with and leads others in SQF, Food Safety Plan (HACCP), Food Quality Plan (FQP) standards. Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely communication to and from the production floor.This is a 12 hour rotating schedule on day shift.The Role - Assists leadership with the execution of daily production activities.
- Ensures that any changes in processes or procedures are properly communicated and enacted by the team.
- Reviews and submits all required controlled documentation in a timely manner.
- Ensures all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Enters packaging production in inventory system daily.
- Ensures daily shift reports are complete and necessary details are provided.
- Makes necessary judgment call to align with schedule changes by prioritizing specific duties to stay on schedule.
- Ensures team is following the appropriate break schedule and assisting in all other packaging areas as needed.
- Communicates with production leadership and warehouse team to ensure all required materials are staged and ready ahead of each shift.
- Communicates with quality and maintenance any time there is an issue with the product or equipment.
- Other duties assigned.The Candidate--
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in a leadership role is preferred.
- Previous experience in packaging is preferred.
- Ability to receive direction and properly communicate to team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and buy-in.
- Knowledge of packaging machinery and proper operation.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to work independently and motivate staff to meet required deadlines.
- Ability to accurately complete and submit controlled documentation.
- Must be flexible and be willing to work with various demographics and backgrounds.
- Strong analytical/problem solving/process improvement skills.
- Ability to facilitate change, foster innovation and achieve results.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel and is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.--
- The employee is required to sit, climb, or balance and taste or smell.--
