We partner with our Nurses at TriCities Hospital!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. What you will do in this role: - Manages the daily Outpatient Services Schedule efficiently to ensure all decisions, actions and team performance meets the needs of key customers and stakeholders.
- Assists all staff to achieve their potential as members of an effective team by providing opportunities for employee development including educational activities.
- Serves as resource and mentor for staff in the clinical arena.
- Assumes responsibility for decisions and actions in the lead clinical role.
- Communicates effectively with staff, peers, director, and external and internal customers.
- Utilizes quality improvement as basis to improve unit/department process.
- Maintains departmental documentation. Maintains unit readiness for regulatory surveys.
- Demonstrates clinical competence to practice within the unit's Scope of Service.
- Pursues own professional growth and development.
- Key member of process improvement initiative teams, committees which address hospital and departmental goals and other such duties as assigned by the Director.
- Manages expenses to stay within budgetary guidelines.
- Actively participates in activities to recruit and maintain staff.
- Adheres to hospital policies and procedures; supports the mission of the hospital.
