Position Details:
--- Title: CONSTRUCTION SAFETY SPECIALIST
--- Location: South Hill, VA (45 min west of Emporia)
--- Shift: Day Shift Monday - Friday typically (some Saturdays, flexible depending on project progression)
--- Compensation: 50K - 80K year B.O.E. - Relocation available depending on location and candidate experience.

Position Description:
As a Construction Safety Specialist, you'll work with Safety Directors, Project Managers and Site Superintendents to develop and implement site-specific safety programs for electrical installations. You'll assist with administration duties such as preparing Jobsite Safety Analysis, Jobsite Hazard Analysis and preparation of safety reports. Begin the workday by inspecting the workplace to ensure it is safe for operation. When employees and subcontractors fail to comply with safety standards, you'll work with management in recommending disciplinary measures.

Requirements:
--- Must have OSHA 510 certification.
--- Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations pertaining to the specific trade.
--- Ability to access heights via ladders or scaffolding.
--- Knowledge of the electrical trade as well as general construction activities and equipment.
--- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (Hard hat, vest, protective eye wear, safety boots.)
--- Work is performed indoors and outdoors, often exposed to the natural elements of cold, heat, moisture, and wind.
--- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
