Description SUMMARY Receives milk from dairy tankers for pasteurizing and processing. Ensures compliance with company and federal quality standards.
Work Schedule Requirements: Must be available all shifts; to include nights, weekend and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Receives milk from delivery trucks Tests milk to ensure compliance with company and government quality standards Assist with standardizing and pasteurizing milk process Adhere to food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA) Utilize the established systems for inventory Communicates with Quality Manager, and Production manager on product issues Participates with improving workplace safety, reducing waste and improving factory efficiencies Cleans and maintains equipment Complete all required training in a timely manner Performs all other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Process flow knowledge of dairy production
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers Basic computer skills including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work with automated equipment Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure Excellent organization and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented nature Ability to work with limited supervision
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Require standing, reaching, handling, climbing up and down ladders, scaffolds and other climbing devices, and near and far vision. Ability to lift 75 lb. and push/pull up to 200lbs.
