Northwestern Medical Center's mission is to provide exceptional healthcare for our community and we are currently recruiting for a Full-time Maintenance Mechanic opportunity.

EXPECTED HOURS/SHIFT: Full-Time (80 hours bi-weekly), hours variable between 6a-5p, rotating weekends, rotating on call.

JOB SUMMARY:

• Responsible for maintaining the facility in satisfactory operating condition to ensure a comfortable, safe and sanitary environment. Performs minor repairs on plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems and general carpentry. Performs grounds keeping duties such as snow plowing, de-icing, raking, lawn mowing and painting. Moves furniture and supplies. Conducts routine inspection of equipment and buildings and responsible for assigned zone maintenance. PREREQUISITES
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
    
    Experience: Experience in building trades, preferably in a healthcare/institutional setting. Basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing and HVAC, and skill in the use of hand and power tools.
    
    License: Current license to operate a motor vehicle in the state of Vermont with a good driving record.
