Be a part of something new! The University of Vermont Medical Center opened an alternative care unit in March of 2024. Shep 3 North has 18-20 long-term care patients that are awaiting placement. Patients on this unit will have a variety of different diagnoses. The environment of the unit is consistent with that of a long-term care facility. Candidates must have strong communication skills.Full time positions are eligible for a 5,000 sign on bonus (prorated for part-time). A relocation package of -$5,200 is also available for relocating applicants.Please note that current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus. Additional terms and conditions apply. -JOB DESCRIPTION:The Licensed Nurse Assistant is responsible for specific aspects of direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. -Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): -taking vital signs, responding to call lights, Electronic Medical Record documentation, personal care, including bathing, mouth care, toileting and skin care.Our ideal candidates will be reliable, flexible, compassionate and empathetic.
