Position: District Manager- This is a full-time, exempt position. Reports to: Theatre Operations Director Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000 (annually) Bonus Opportunity: up to $11,600 Purpose The Cinema West District Manager owns and is accountable for the results of the District's theatres and for the performance of the General Managers (GMs). This position requires the ability to coach individuals to improve company standards as well as financial results. This position requires on-site visits to the District's theatres on a frequent basis for on-site observation and support of the theatres' operations. These visits include periods during high-volume guest patronage, often weekends and holidays, as well as off-peak times. - Establish strong partnerships with the GMs to lead and guide them to success and maximize profits
- Ensure that all guests have a safe and positive theatre experience
- Provide top-notch, quality training to produce high-performing teams that are professional, effective and provide excellent guest service.
- The District includes theatres throughout California (mostly in northern CA) as well as Idaho. Please note this position is not a Monday - Friday 8:00a - 5:00p type of job. This position requires extensive travel to the theatres and calls for unusual workdays, including holiday and weekends.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities Operations - Lead, guide and mentor the GMs to maximum profitability
- Communicate financials and key performance metrics to the GMs
- Achieve or exceed key financial and metric targets
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Visit theatres regularly to review and observe operations during both peak and off-peak times
- Continually offer suggestions for improvement
- Ensure employees and guests are in a safe environment GM Development
- Provide strategic leadership to the GMs; develop, train and mentor GMs to include succession planning.
- Communicate regularly and honesty with the GMs to maximize results, coach for improvement.
- Complete GMs annual and/or periodic Performance Reviews
- Support GMs in resolving theatre issues Guest Experience/Market Share
- Partner with GMs to ensure Cinema West is the #1 theatre-of-choice for all guests
- Partner with the GMs in creating outstanding guests' experiences
- Maximize market share within specific DMAs with proven tracking Employees
- Partner with HR and the GMs to ensure Cinema West is the employees' employer-of-choice
- Contribute to a great workplace by retaining and rewarding star employees, and coaching and counseling employees
- Assist the GMs in creating high-morale workplaces Concessions
- Create and implement strategies to maximize food and beverage revenue per guest
- Create and implement strategies to minimize cost of goods
- Work with GMs to improve concession staff performance
- Work with GMs to maintain an inviting concession stand presentation showcasing fresh and tasty concession products
- Keep abreast of industry trends, and propose and implement new products
- Manage Cinema West relationships with food and beverage vendors Requirements
