This position will facilitate communication between the patient point of entry and the healthcare team and is designed to improve overall customer satisfaction through multiple venues. This position is responsible for assisting with bed placement in collaboration with Nursing House Supervisor, Nursing Directors, Case Managers and Charge Nurses. Upon direction of House Supervisor, Nurse Director or Case Manager assigns patient beds as available and communicates assignments to Charge Nurse of appropriate Nursing Unit. Keeps abreast of available beds within the facility at all times. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Essential Functions:Assures optimum quality of patient care - -Participates in employee recruitment/retention efforts - -Supports efforts by the director of nursing services, assistant director of nursing services and clinical coordinators to provide optimum quality care - -Coordinates patient care with other departments - -Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the age of patient served - - - - - - - - - - - -

Graduate of a Program in Discipline - Required - -Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. - -Required Skills
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - to be obtained within 6 months
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - to be obtained within 6 months
TNCC - to be obtained within 6 months - -Required Licenses

Demonstrated leadership, management and problem solving skills and abilities; demonstrated teaching and communication skills, demonstrated objectivity, tolerance and understanding; demonstrated ability to form and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with all members of the health care team.

6) Demonstrates knowledge of isolation procedures and appropriate placement of patients under isolation
