About The Opportunity Manages the design, implementation, administration, communication and ongoing evaluation of the organization's benefit and retirement programs, policies and procedures. Additionally, this position ensures benefit and retirement programs support the organization's business objectives and meet all legal requirements.Essential Job Functions The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all these duties; however, it is not an exclusive or all- inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. - Manages the development, implementation and administration of benefit and retirement programs
- Analyzes programs, identifying opportunities for improvement and enhancement; researches and recommends changes to Senior Leaders
- Researches and proposes multi-year benefit strategies
- Serves as a subject matter expert in developing and properly preparing programs under ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code and other laws and regulations
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with plan administrators, advisors, brokers and other service providers and vendors
- Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, best practices and legal and regulatory changes in benefit and retirement planning and administration
- Keep current in all aspects of Human Resources through formal and informal training, participation in local and national professional organizations, continues learning and reading, and general professional curiosity Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or other relevant fields
- Minimum of 8 years' experience with a broad range of retirement and benefit plans
- Current human resource credentials or certification preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
