JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Anicca Day Treatment Supervisor, the Therapist for the Adolescent Day Treatment program is responsible for providing individual, group, family therapy, and psychological education and skills groups in the day treatment program for adolescents with mental health issues that impair normal development and functioning. Services are provided within a dynamic milieu setting with a multi-disciplinary team coordinating and providing care.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
--- Provides ongoing individual, group and family therapy, psychological education, and skills services to adolescents in a day treatment environment.
--- Conducts Diagnostic Assessments and prepares assessment and intake documentation.
--- Prepares, maintains and updates clinical documentation including daily progress notes, treatment plan goals, other client documentation requirements and forms or materials required as set forth by local, state, or federal regulations, requirements, polices or procedures.
--- Collaborates, works closely with, and facilitates communications among other mental health team members and educational staff in the program, community agencies and caregivers collaborating with the program.
--- Provides support and training for interns assigned to the program.
--- Performs other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
--- Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy.
--- One (1) year clinical experience.
or
--- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
and
--- Licensed at the Masters level or above (or on track for licensure) as a Mental Health Professional in the State of Minnesota as defined by statute.
