Sign-On Bonus: External applicants eligible for up to $2,000.00. Sign-on bonus eligibility: -Open to external applicates who have not been previously employed by CMC in the last rolling 9 months. This is a TPD (0.2 Status) day shift Surgical Technologist position in the Surgery Department. The Surgical Technologist prepares the sterile field as well as all instrumentation and equipment intended to be used on the sterile field. During surgery, the Surgical Technologist provides appropriate instrumentation through a combination of knowledge of the intended surgery, individual surgeon preference, and anticipation of the surgeon's needs as the procedure progresses. Non-clinical support includes cleaning and sterilization of instruments, cleaning and proper care of equipment, and provision of a surgical environment which is safe and clean. Minimum Required: - - Completion of Surgical Technologist Program and/or licensed Practical Nurse Program.
- Surgical Technologist Certification.
- Verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required.
- Ability to deal with multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
- BLS upon hire and Healthcare provider BLS within three (3) months of hire.
Preferred / Desired: - - Healthcare Provider BLS preferred.
- Recent hospital experience (2-5 years) and/or previous practice preferred.
- AST Certification within 6 months preferred.
On Call / Weekend: Weekday and Weekend Call.
