Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of department or administrative staff.
- Purposefully conducts all aspects of the job in an ethical manner in support of the organization's commitment to ethical behavior in all areas of personal and professional activity.
- Participates in planning, implementing, and evaluating programming within the CBS Services.
- Completes psychiatric and functional assessments, identifying strengths and needs.
- Develops with consumer measurable goals and establishes service plans based on consumer needs and desires.
- Provides psychological/supportive counseling with consumers/clients and their families on site or in the community.
- Provides skills training in the areas of social, leisure, vocational, interpersonal and community living.
- Recognizes early symptoms of physical and mental illness, and performs appropriate interventions and/or referrals in accordance of an identified crisis plan.
- Recognizes and reports the therapeutic actions and side effects of medications.
- Consults with other community agencies and significant others involved with consumers/clients to live in the least restrictive setting.
- Advocates for consumer/client rights and choices in obtaining needed services.
- Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings, supervisory sessions and in-services.
- Demonstrates a positive cooperative attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to change to meet department goals.
- Performs additional duties as may be assigned to ensure complete service to all customers.QualificationsPERSONAL SPECIFICATIONSEducationMust have a high school diploma or equivalency. Qualifications/ExperienceExperience preferred but not required. Valid Iowa Driver's license required.
