Expectation Overview: The Maintenance Technician 1 is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs under supervision on facility equipment, including high speed bottling equipment, warehouse automation components like high-speed conveyors, commercial refrigeration units and process pumps. They ensure the upkeep of the landscape and grounds. Essentially, the goal of a maintenance technician is to maintain the equipment, facilities, and common areas. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performs preventative maintenance on winery equipment including but not limited to, bottling lines, production equipment, warehouse automation conveyor, cellar pumps and hoses ETC. Keeps detailed records of maintenance tasks performed Troubleshoots equipment or systems and makes recommendations to management for required repairs. Assists senior Technicians in performing complex repairs and projects Helps maintain comprehensive spare parts crib Follow safe operating procedures and support safety program and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member's safety. Resolves problems as they arise or recommends how problems should be resolved. Maintains work area, shop area, and all maintenance tools in accordance with Nexterra wine company standards Performs other related duties as assigned Requirements: High school diploma or GED required Must have a valid driver's license, current insurance and must be insurable under the company's auto policy Industrial Maintenance required Must have apprentice level knowledge and experience in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, machine equipment repair and stainless/aluminum fabrication. The ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, drawings and blueprints Knowledge of Computer programs, Excel, Word, Outlook The ability to work independently or as a team member with minimal supervision Must know proper use of safety equipment and safety procedures May require weekend and shift work Competencies: Disciplined Behavior Action-Oriented Communicates Effectively Collaborates Manages Complexity Ensures Accountability Physical Job Functions: Must be able to bend, squat, climb and reach frequently. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be comfortable working at heights upwards of 35 ft. in scissor lift.
