FABRICATION TECHNICIAN II
Description:
The Fabrication Technician II may have responsibilities including equipment setup, manufacturing, assembly, basic testing, troubleshooting, reporting/documenting results of tests and assembly operations. Work is performed from very detailed instructions.
Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
• Limited decision making, related to the scope of the specific task
• Interfaces with other departments in the execution of duties to ensure the orderly flow of material and information
• Under some supervision, perform routine experiments and troubleshooting. Adjust variables as directed, take specified data, and bring equipment irregularities to the attention of the supervisor.
• Perform work from detailed instructions
• Suggest improvements to current processes and work instructions
• From detailed instructions, set up or modify equipment, calibrate and operate equipment (mainly routine tests & manufacturing operations)
• Maintain accurate records of the work performed and other records as may be required by management
• Maintains daily production output
• May participate in quality control inspections
• Works with team lead, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency
• Complies with all EHS and Quality procedures and policies
Required Qualifications:
1. Associate degree in Applied Science (AAS) or High school diploma/GED plus 2 years experience in a technical field
2. Demonstrated ability to work well with general direction and information
3. Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information
4. Demonstrated proficiency to utilize computerized work systems
5. Effective verbal and written communication skills
6. Ability to communicate using English
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor?s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or Technology related fields
