  Shift: Nights / 6:45p-7:15a (12x3) 36 hours per week, EOW
  Length: 26 -Weeks
  Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift
  Requirements:
  
  • NC License
  • Minimum 1 year of experience
  • Skills: Administer chemo. Experience in an inpatient setting is required
  • Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start, will accept with ONC pending
  • BLS
  • CPI, Charge nurse experience preferred
    Other Details:
    
    • PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
    • Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
    • Will accept 1st time travelers

      JOB DETAILS: will work with oncology as well as medical surgical patientsTarget Ratios: 1:6-7Shift: nights; 36RTO: 7 days MAX; NO RTO 4/29-5/17/24Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care Requirement: *EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.
      ** Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed
      PATIENT DIAGNOSES: High Acuity Adults and Geriatrics.**Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID.
      SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Daily Census 42.General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection. DKA - Insulin drip, AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips.
      UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
      UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hrs (2 shifts)
      SCRUBS: Navy Blue and white.
