Scheduled to open late Spring!Opportunity for a fresh start!Expected to hire around April 1stHours:Monday through Friday8 am to 5 pm ETOne late night *until 7 pm closing on average* a weekOne rotating weekend per month (when scheduled, have off during the week)Holidays- opportunity for holiday payQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:* High school diploma or GED and graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.* Three or more years of relevant clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting (Orthopaedic, ER or Urgent Care experience strongly preferred).* Current certification in basic life support.* The ideal candidate will have excellent independent clinical knowledge and oral communication, medical terminology, typing, grammar and spelling skills.* On-the-job experience with medical computer software in a clinical setting is necessary to be considered.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Assists in examination and treatment of patients.* Interviews patients, measures vital signs and types information and histories in Medent.* Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.* Removes staples and sutures.* Prepares injections and assists physician with the administration of injections* Assists in applying/removing casts.* Wound care.Enters appropriate ICD-9 and CPT codes into PC.* Completes necessary paperwork and schedules surgeries and appointments.* Telephone or electronic submission of prescriptions to pharmacy as ordered by the physician.* Educates patients and assists with patient inquiries regarding medication and pre & post-operative treatment.* Assists team leaders with patient care duties, as delegated.* Acts as agent for licensed provider.BENEFITS:* Profit Share 401 K plan* Tuition Reimbursement* Paid holidays* Paid time off (up to 144 hours a calendar year)* Healthcare coverage, dental and vision plan* EMPLOYER PAID Short and Long-Term Disability* EMPLOYER PAID Life Insurance Policy* Brand new location opening*Experience*Preferred* Current certification in basic life support (BLS) required, or the ability to obtain before working independently with patients.* A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred, particularly in Orthopaedics, ER or Urgent Care function.*Education*Required* High School Diploma/GED or betterPreferred* Associates or better*Licenses & Certifications*Preferred* LicenseJob Type: Full-timePay: $27.77 - $29.05 per hourBenefits:* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Flexible spending account* Health savings account* Referral programby Jobble More...
