Velos also provides multi-discipline engineering and technical services to agencies such as NASA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Department of Defense (DoD).Velos is seeking an Junior Computer and Information Systems Analyst to provide direct support to Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Systems Engineering Division (SED). This position is CONTINGENT upon contract award, and will be an on-site position at Naval Air Station Patuxent River (Pax River) MD.
Primary job functions will include but are not limited to:

• Collect, analyze, and evaluate project / program information
  
• Perform logical and physical system design, studies, and documentation
  
• Deliver presentations and participate in technical meetings
  
• Work on, review, and prepare system documentation and specifications
  
• Conduct technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with system
  
• Prepare reports and identify any special problem areas
  
• Administer security analysis and planning for complex areas of the network
  
  Required Qualifications:
  
  
  
  • 3 years of experience in IT, computer networks, and/or cyber
    
  • Understanding / experience in technical analysis, systems analysis, or database management
    
  • Knowledge of Navy programs, capabilities, and systems
    
  • Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail
    
    Desired Qualifications:
    
    
    
    • Self-starter, able to take initiative and operate independently.
      
    • Recent experience working with DoD and/or specificaly the Navy

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
      
    • Ability to develop high-quality, professional briefings and written reports to succinctly capture technical concepts
      
      Education Requirements:
      
      
      
      • Associates degree in computer science, IT, or relevant technical or science area

        • Active SECRET clearance
