Perdue also offers a 401(k) savings plan with company match.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOn call for Hatchery alarmsLoad incubators with eggs at scheduled times directed by management Read, interpret, and understand manufacturers equipment manuals, preventative maintenance (PM) task sheet, and safety policiesPerform equipment adjustments and repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency breakdownsPerform specific duties during both production and non-production hours in a timely manner adhering to OSHA Lockout/Tagout and Company safety regulationsMonitor performance of equipment and inform maintenance and production supervisor of potential issuesMaintain log books by applying math skills through the equipment PM stages in order to calibrate machinery to performance standard Adhere to all safety rules including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related mattersMust not have exposure to Poultry or birds outside of workMinimum EducationHigh School or equivalent Experience Requirements0-2 years Reading, writing, and analytical skills are requiredMust have a valid driver s license Environmental Factors and Physical RequirementsPosition is active with routine on the floor activities such as troubleshooting and re-design of existing systemsMust be able to obtain company certification for use of pallet jack, scissor lift, and forkliftMay need to access files, supplies, and equipmentExposure to temperatures ranging from 55- 105 degreesHumidity up to 100%Work in wet, damp, dusty (chicken down) environment Occasional exposure to outside ambient temperaturesExposed to chemicals and vaccines to be covered in SDS training and hazardous communicationsMust use personal protective equipment as required for the job as described by companyPerdue Farms, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
