DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Locksmith for the Department of Corrections, you will be responsible for the installation and repair of all locking systems and locking devices in the institution, inside and out. This includes all sliding doors, grills, and gates. Additionally, you will perform routine and preventative maintenance checks to ensure operability of equipment, and oversee inmates in the performance of non-security related tasks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40-hour work week. Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,753.00 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
