5:00 p.m.UNIVERSAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the Mission of the Company by identifying and accomplishing team and individual performance goals that directly support the goals of the Company.Treat all co-workers, customers, and suppliers with respect and in accordance with the Company s Code of Ethics and Core Values.Follow all company GMPs and SOPs.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the implementation of all food safety, food quality, and sanitation programs.Help develop Quality Control Technicians and Team Leaders and ensure they perform their duties effectively and efficiently.Serve as an SQF Practitioner.Serve as a regular member of the HACCP team.Coordinate and participate in food safety vendor audits.Investigate and resolve food safety/quality-related issues by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventative measures.Develop relationships with suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and facilitate necessary improvements in their processes.PERIODIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESServe as back-up to the Quality Manager.RequirementsEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCEBachelor s degree or professional certification (preferably related to food safety/quality).Two years of experience in quality control in the food processing industry.Previous supervisory or leadership experience.KNOWLEDGEProven knowledge of the principles and practices of food safety.Prior experience with external and internal food safety/quality audits.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, the Company database system, and Internet and email.ABILITIES AND SKILLSCommunication
