An international agricultural products and services company, we handle agricultural commodities and have a diverse portfolio of products and businesses.SummaryPerdue AgriBusiness has an excitingopportunityfor aGrain Crew Leaderat our facilitylocated inParksley, VAsupporting grain operations.Day shift hours: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm for non-harvest; 7:00 am to 7:00 pm during harvestPerdue AgriBusiness offers competitive wages and benefit packages to full-time, regular positions.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist the facility manager in managing the operationsEnsure working conditions for all associates are in compliance with the safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policiesAssist the facility manager in coordinating and directing the daily activities of crews and teams that receive, dry, store, and distribute grainTrain and develop team members to perform required operational tasksOperate grain probe (hand/automated) and grade grain for all factorsOperate grain receiving equipmentOperate grain drying and related equipmentOperate grain transfer and load out equipmentOperate lift truck equipment and perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipmentPerform house keeping of all elevator areasPerform routine and preventative maintenance on operational equipment with the grain facility to ensure maximum availability and longevityPerform other tasks as assignedExperience RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of lead or management based experienceBasic Microsoft Excel experienceMinimum EducationHigh School or equivalentEnvironmental Factors and Physical RequirementsAble to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available)Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatusRequired to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locationsPerdue Farms, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
