POSITION TITLE: Assistant Dean of Housing Operations and Student Conduct REPORTS TO: Dean of Student Success POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for leadership and management of housing operations, residential life, and health and wellness functional areas in the Division of the Office of Student Success. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Housing Operations - Manage all operational aspects of the residence halls and Greek houses.
- Design and implement housing application processes for all campus housing applicants.
- Monitor the safety, security, maintenance, and housekeeping concerns for campus housing.
- Coordinate housing assignments for all returning and incoming students, as well as serve as a liaison with the Business Office to provide accurate billing for housing and board charges.
- Coordinate move-in and move-out procedures for residents.
- Conduct mid-year and end of year walk-throughs to assess and assign charges for residence hall damages.
- Assign and manage weekend on-call responsibilities for OSL staff.
- Coordinate and manage all housing for summer programs and campus.
- Develop and coordinate all residential aspects of summer camps.
Student Conduct - Serve as Dean of Student designee for adjudicating and evaluating student conduct violations.
- Assign appropriate sanctions for student violations for code of conduct issues.
- Cultivate relationships with students and important stakeholders
- Apply best practice in providing educational code of conduct process.
Student Advocacy and Support - Work with the Registrar to coordinate OSL's responses to retention alerts.
- Provide direction and intervention for students in crisis including intervening with mental health staff and providing victim advocacy.
- Serve as liaison to contracted health & wellness services.
- Assist students in resolving disability related issues that may be a barrier to academic success; refer students to appropriate campus and community resources as needed or necessary.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Respond to emergencies, crises, and policy enforcement, as well as student issues and concerns and serve in on-call rotation.
- Participate in and assist with other duties and assignments as directed.
- Assess and report on program effectiveness, student satisfaction, and student co-curricular learning outcomes related to residential and retention programming.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS: Supervise student workers. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. EDUCATION: Essential: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university Desirable: Master's Degree in Student Personnel or Related Field EXPERIENCE: Essential: Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in Student Affairs or Higher Education, particularly in student housing and/or residence life.
