- Pre-shift and work area inspections
- Safely operate, move material, and feed the mill at the proper rate on the loader in various weather conditions as assigned by the Shift Supervisor
- Learn to service loader
- Clean and maintain areas in the mill
- Learn and perform light maintenance in the mill
- Learn to operate Mill support equipment including but not limited to: the boiler, the skid steer loader, and the forklift
- Learn to inspect Milling facilities and processing equipment
- Learn to maintain 400 TPH for 3 (three) hours without loosing feed
- Learn the proper techniques to maintain the loader pad level and keep free of obstacles (rocks)
- Learn how to sort rejects and dispose of them in the appropriate area(s)
- Learn to blend various ore types to maintain ore quality as directed by mill supervisor
- Assist with other milling needs and necessitiesTypical Education
- High School diploma or equivalentRequirements
- Understand mechanical and operational limits of the mill and milling equipment
- Follow and understand proper start-up and shut-down procedures of the process feed
- Complete equipment task training
- Communicate clearly with mine personnel
- Valid drivers license--or equivalent
- Be aware of equipment problems and report them to proper personnel
- The employee shall perform his/her work duties in compliance with all Facility, Company, and Regulatory (State or Federal) Environmental, Health, Safety and/or Security policies, rules and regulations.-- This includes but is not limited to: maintaining a safe and secure work environment, protecting company sensitive information, and reporting suspicious or unauthorized activities and/or behaviors.
