This is a full-time position with the Department of Veterans Affairs - Michael J. Fitzmaurice South Dakota Veterans Home. A Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is an important and valuable member to the South Dakota Veterans Home by "taking care of America's heroes" by assisting with day to day resident care and engaging the residents in various household activities / events. This role performs basic resident care, assists with day to day resident and household activities, and assists licensed health care personnel in the provision of routine medical care in a household-type environment at the South Dakota State Veterans Home. Physical activities may include squatting, kneeling, bending, twisting, lifting, and more. Shift differential is provided for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
