Position Highlights:
Student Loan Repayment: This position may be eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.
Work directly with patients to provide services in a compassionate manner.
Work collaboratively with other members of the team.
Job Summary
The Physical therapist (PT) will effectively evaluate patients and develop treatment plans appropriate for functional limitations of individual patients. The PT will help people who have physical and/ or disabling conditions restore function, alleviate pain and prevent disabilities by planning and administrating physical therapy. This position will work with patients in a variety of settings including: Outpatient, inpatient, LTC, home health care and pediatrics. This position will provide coverage at multiple locations for events such as contracted services, extended leaves of absence as well as start-up coverage for new services.
Education and/or Experience
Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program of the American Physical Therapy Association preferred.
One year experience preferred in multiple practice settings.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Licensed in the state of South Dakota as a Physical Therapist required.
Licensed in the state of Minnesota and/or Iowa as a Physical Therapist is required depending on job assignment. If additional state licensure is required, employee must obtain within 120 days of request.
Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter, depending upon job assignment.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, lunch 12:00pm-1:00pm; 80 hours per 2 weeks
Every fourth weekend, 1-2 holidays per year
Pay
$36.75 - $55.50 per hour
