About the role:
SPM Oil & Gas currently has an opening for an EHS Senior Specialist based in our Midland, Texas facility.
As an EHS Senior Specialist, you will serve as an experienced individual contributor on Environmental, Health and/or Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that are complex in nature and that support and enhance Caterpillar facility performance and compliance.
What you will do:
- Primary EHS Professional responsible for Midland, Texas area operations that include an industry-leading service center and a variety of field operations.
- Collaborate with a team of EHS Professionals to maintain an ISO 14001/45001 certified management system and deliver continuous improvement.
- Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.
- Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.
- Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
- Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement.
What you will have:
- Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance: Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
