The pay is $16-$17 an hour and the position is expected to be full-time over those 10 weeks. This will be a hybrid internship with mandatory in person sessions that are part of the program once a week.
About Emerging Professionals Summer Internship Program (EPSIP) at UMass Chan Medical School The Emerging Professionals Summer Internship Program (EPSIP) is a paid internship experience for talented college students. Individuals historically underrepresented in STEM, health science and medicine are strongly encouraged to apply. - an opportunity to discover their passions and interests and discern which career path is best for you General Summary of Position ForHealth Consulting is seeking an Intern to join Solutions Engineering team in its Digital Solutions department. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual who is passionate for creating intuitive websites, front-end development with a focus on User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with dynamic group, and an opportunity to work cross-functionally in ForHealth Consulting at UMass Chan Medical School.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities: - As part of a team, you will design and develop ADA compliant, responsive websites.
- Review existing websites, provide feedback on areas for improvement from UI and UX perspective.
- Collaborate with senior front-end developers and rest of the solutions engineering team, working on existing as well as new projects.
- Participate in business user meetings to understand the requirements, demonstrate and review prototypes, applications for feedback and enhancements.
- Scan websites using tools like Siteimprove for Accessibility, and fix any issues identified.
