Chemours is seeking a Field Contract Administrator to join our growing Titanium Technologies team. This position will report directly to the Safety Consultant at our Jesup, GA location. The Field Contract Administrator (FCA) is responsible for managing the interface between the contractors and area(s) and the area personnel. The Field Contract Administrator also functions as a liaison between the Site Contract Administrator and the contractors while engaged in activities on site. It is expected that the Field Contract Administrator spends the appropriate amount of time in the field (70-80%) as required by the contractor's project workload. It is also expected that the Field Contract Administrator strive to acquire the skills necessary to assist / backfill roles performed by the Contract Administrator as required. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: - Audit contractor's safety program and performance
- Coordinate Continuous Improvement Efforts
- Understand the scope of work for the contract
- Understand and Communicate Area process Hazards, Needs, and Concerns
- Conduct pre-job meetings
- Inspection of contractor's equipment
- Monitors the acceptance of work completed
- Monitor safety, quality, and schedule
- Verify required MSHA training and documentation
- Verify certifications in specified craft
- Prepare and verify the completion of work permits
- Maintain daily reports of work performed
- Help CA resolve claims and issues
- Monitor and document changes to the contract
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and Chemours safety requirements
- Provide input on post-job evaluation
The following is required for this role: - High School Diploma.
- A minimum of 1 year of craft or technical expertise.
- Ability to work in process and field areas that may include physical capabilities such as climbing stairs, ladders, and construction areas.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks, setting and communicating priorities, and understanding the business drivers.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, the ability to present information to all levels in the organization, and address external organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective task planning.
- Demonstrated ability to work with various computer programs including Microsoft Suite and required Chemours programs.
