<span>Position Title: Logistics Coordinator<br> <br>Position Summary: <br> <br> <br>Logistics Coordinators are responsible for the safe and efficient routing of company trucks and third-party carriers to satisfy customer delivery requirements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing order optimization activities, coordinating load assignments to drivers, monitoring customer inventories, managing customer supply obligations, and handling customer communications. <br> <br> <br>Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties (but not limited to): <br> <br>Ensure Safe and Regulatory-Compliant Service<br>• Monitor driver logs and schedule drivers daily activities accordingly to ensure DOT compliance<br>• Administer driver drug & alcohol testing program to ensure driver compliance<br>• Ensure driver dispatch and all driver communications support Company’s safety culture<br>• Schedule inventory managed deliveries based on current tank levels in order not to exceed the ninety percent safe fill level. <br>Satisfy Customer Service Requirements <br>• Manage customer fuel inventory levels and schedule deliveries to meet customer’s inventory standards.<br>• Assign orders to drivers to meet customer requirements including delivery windows, supply obligations, equipment requirements, special delivery instructions, etc<br>• Identify when order demand in Company's geography exceeds available capacity and coordinate with approved common carriers to meet order demand <br>• Effectively communicate with internal and external customers, drivers, operations, and management to resolve logistics and service issues <br> <br>Increase Operational Efficiencies<br>• Maximize loaded mileage percentage of all dispatched units on a daily basis through route optimization and TMW order analysis<br>• Solicit business from customers when available capacity exceeds demand or to increase loaded miles <br>• Collaborate with Maintenance Managers to schedule preventative maintenance and repair of equipment to maximize truck availability and utilization<br>• Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiencies through better use of drivers, equipment, and technology (TMW)<br> <br> <br>Qualifications/Competencies <br> <br> <br>1. BA/BS in Supply Chain, Transportation, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience Required<br>2. Analytical/Problem-solving skills to solve complex logistical ‘puzzles’ Required<br>3. Ability to work well in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment Required<br>4. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively over the phone, in person, and in writing Required<br>5. A working knowledge of Microsoft Work, Excel and Outlook Required<br>6. Knowledge of petroleum industry Preferred <br>7. Experience in the TMW software platform or related transportation management system May be trained<br> <br> <br>Special Notations or Conditions of Employment <br> <br>The position has a rotating schedule of four days on/four days off from 07:00 – 19:00.
