The pay offered is from $32.00 - $41.00 per hour. Technician will lead the commission, install, and repair of high pressure packaged gas piping systems, mirco-bulk tanks, cryogenic dewer cylinders, vaporizers and manifold equipment at customer and Airgas sites to ensure the safe, effective and efficient delivery of our products to the customers' point of use. Additionally, the technician will lead in the commission and installation of bulk (LIN, LOX, LAR, LH2, CO2, N2O, Medical) systems and associated equipment. The Technician will be responsible for performing regularly scheduled preventative maintenance checks on required equipment, production/plant equipment, intermediate FLOXAL equipment, and maintain inventory of parts and supplies. In addition, must be able to perform all Level I & II duties, as well as mentor and train less experienced technicians when needed. - Comply with all Company and industry safety policies and procedures.
- Obtain federal, state, and municipal/local required certifications in order to perform job tasks.
- Lead, commission, install, and maintain all high pressure packaged gas piping systems, bulk, mirco-bulk tanks, cryogenic dewer cylinders, vaporizers and manifold equipment at customer and Airgas sites to ensure the safe, effective and efficient delivery of our products to the customers' point of use.
- Perform sight surveys at prospective customer locations to determine the scope of the job while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Perform cryogenic and high-pressure piping systems inspections and repairs of such equipment as per NFPA standards and manufacturers' recommended procedures to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
- Service, inspect, use, and maintain compressors, pumps, and other shop tools/equipment in good working condition and in accordance with manufacturers' recommended procedures.
- Identify and communicate service problems to the manager for timely repair response.
- Maintain inventory of parts and required to perform service, inspection, and maintenance of all equipment associated with the basic function of this position.
- Handle hazardous materials daily in a safe and approved manner.
- Install piping and final line regulator systems for specialized applications.
- Install and set alarms for automatic emergency reserve and backup system of gases.
- Install manifolds and valves for use with high-pressure gas cylinders.
- Secures the necessary documentation and approvals of work performed (installations and/or removals)
- Submit completed service orders, estimates, and invoices to the manager in a timely manner to facilitate customer billing.
- Demonstrate proficient skills; upgrade knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain excellent customer service.
- Flexible work schedule with the ability to travel overnight.
- Must attend company safety meetings.
- Ensure proper and full-time use of PPE.
- Ensure any accident or injury is reported promptly to the manager.
- Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
