POSITION SUMMARY: This position manages the sales program of the production plant. They are responsible for optimal sales mix, freight utilization, order fill rate, selling of surplus and other duties as assigned.At Pilgrim s, Safety Is A Condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Create and approve schedule, daily by shift accounting for variables including but not limited to feature activity, bird size, market dynamics and absenteeism. Create a daily run sheet to best maximize profitability both in the short and long term; accounting for factors such as raw material availability, labor availability and current market factors Strong understanding of industrial engineering to best allocate labor daily in the facilityReview line/plant performance in weekly and monthly buckets and adjust rates, labor allocation accordinglyPartner with plant operations to identify and close gaps associated with product mix and labor efficiencyIncluding building reports and coaching shift managers and supervisorsAid in ROI analysis for automation in facilityDirects the flow of information for sale activities and transactions (leads, billings, orders, contracts) and evaluates data to ensure district/area goals are metOwns order fulfillment and line efficiency for a poultry production plantWork closely with operations during the day to ensure schedule adherence and order fulfillment is in line with production capabilities, through daily meetings and other interactionsReconcile Inventory daily to ensure no waste or spoilage; to ensure no shortages or bottlenecks in processSpend time on the operational floor and understand the process flow of the plant and engineering capabilitiesParticipate in design and layout aspects of special projects to achieve optimal efficiencyLead the efforts to complete Production PlanningSells excess product on an as-needed basisOther duties as requiredEXPECTATIONS

The noise level in the production environment is usually loud.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:A Bachelor s degree in a related field is strongly preferred; a Master s degree is preferred.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-taskExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis, with a desire for continuous improvementAbility to communicate effectively and respectfully, both written and verballyAbility to organize and coordinate projectsCapable of independent decision makingExcellent conflict resolution skillsDemonstrates integrity and fairnessAble to quickly and effectively adapt to new and changing situationsStatistical Skills (Basic Level)Intermediate skills required for Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; advanced Excel skills preferredKnowledge of SAP a plusTo perform this job successfully, applicant must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
