With your expertise, you will help design and build Akamai's next-generation Cloud Load Balancer. You must have a passion for managing projects, get things done quickly, and get them done right.As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:Contributing to the development of Akamai's Load Balancer and other cloud-networking technologies.Creating and integrating cloud-networking technologies and architecturesDeveloping best practices, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.Designing, implementing, reviewing, documenting, and testing high-quality code in close collaboration with your team.Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:Have 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.Have experience with object-oriented programming languages.Be knowledgeable of Go and Python programming languages but also be ready to work in other languages as needed (Familiarity with C++)Have solid skills in writing, testing, and understanding complex computer software.Demonstrate understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP) and knowledge of Linux-based operating systems.Be experienced in technical design, product specifications reviews, projects, and backlog planning.Work in a way that works for youFlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
