Position OverviewThe Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all plant operations at our Cleburne Manufacturing Plant, specializing in custom wood structures. This includes production, maintenance, and quality control. The Production Manager must ensure that production targets are met while minimizing costs and maintaining quality standards. They will also be responsible for improving production processes and implementing strategies to increase efficiency.Primary Job RolesPlan, organize, and manage day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plantIncrease production capacity and flexibility while minimizing costsEnsure on-time shipping and product quality assurance for custom wood structuresImprove assembly line operations based on lean principles specific to custom wood productionServe as the production contact for project managers of custom wood structure projectsAllocate resources effectively and utilize assets optimallyRecruit and hire staff, ensuring they are a good fit for the positionImplement strategies in alignment with strategic initiativesMonitor operations and take corrective actions as neededDevelop a trusting relationship with the workgroup and coach plant staffSupport continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with safety procedures and OSHA requirementsDevelop systems and processes to optimize productivity and standardsAddress issues and administer disciplinary actions as requiredStay up-to-date with production management best practicesTravel for onsite visitsJob Qualifications:Must be BilingualHigh School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Business preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and ExcelFamiliarity with blueprints and AutoCAD drawingsSelf-starter and team playerAbility to lead, coach, train, and mentor employeesExcellent communication skillsHigh energy level and creative thinkerProblem solverCompensation and BenefitsSalary: 75,000+; depending on experienceMedical, Vision, DentalPTO401(k) Safe Harbor with a company matchFull-timeLife InsuranceLong/Short Term Disability InsuranceWork LocationCleburne Manufacturing Plant#IND3by Jobble More...
