Calling all candidates who want to be part of a fun and growing team!We are a skilled nursing facility looking for a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join the Paradigm at Nazareth family!Get Hired Now and Receive a Sign-On Bonus of $1,500!Day 30- $300Day 90- $300Day 180- $400Day 360- $500Job DutiesUnder the direction of a nurse, provide direct nursing care and prepare and administer oral, nasal, eye, ear, vaginal, rectal, topical, and/or other medications according to applicable state and federal regulations, facility policies and procedures, and prudent nursing judgmentEnsure that medications are administered in a timely manner and if there must be a delay, document explanations for delays as necessaryDocument administration of medications and other tasks in accordance with organization policies and proceduresFollow appropriate infection control practicesKeep medication cart clean, organized, stocked, and secured as directedUse medication cart and administer medication as directed and in accordance with organization policies and proceduresPerform resident care duties as assigned by charge nurse, including but not limited to transporting and transferring, restocking resident room, changing linen, properly positioning resident, bathing, assisting with bowel and bladder needs, assisting with dressing, assisting with eating and hydration, taking vital signs, and caring for resident as needed or directedDeliver care to residents following their plan of care in accordance with current physicians orders, rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the nursing care facilities under the direct supervision of a licensed nurseProvide care in a professional/courteous manner by ensuring the resident is approached in a kind, gentle and friendly mannerProvide care in a manner that respect for the resident's dignity and privacy is consistently upheldHave knowledge of and utilize the facilitys written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service departmentUtilize established methods for coordination and communication of nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents total regimen of care.Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as necessary or as may be directedBenefitsHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurancePaid time offLife insuranceReferral programRequired Education and ExperienceMust possess a current, unencumbered, active certification to practice as a Medication Aide in the StateMust possess a current, unencumbered, active certification to practice as a nursing assistant in the State2 years experience in Long-Term Care experience preferredSix (6) months experience as a Certified Medication Aide preferredStrong utilization knowledge of Point Click Care preferredComputer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet) required.
