Responsibilities MV Transportation - the nation's leading public transportation contractor - is growing our business development team. - We are looking for committed, focused, and detail-oriented candidates with grit, stamina, and the ability to work in high-pressure environments.The ideal candidate is a self-starter, is organized, is process-oriented, is intellectually curious, is detail-oriented, has a can-do attitude, can foster mutual trust, and can effectively work across the organization. -The project manager is a power user of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams. Responsibilities: - In conjunction with sales leads, develops, and refines (when needed) the criteria for research on bids.
- Performs market research to identify opportunities for new growth and develop insights on the transit market.
- Aggregates information and insights from research on MV's primary competitors and maintains a profile on each competitor for consumption by the broader team in sales strategy and proposals.
- Performs research on all bids in the pipeline (renewals and new business), including board meeting minutes, news articles, magazines, agency publications, online search engines, passenger reviews (online review platforms, transit websites, agency websites for passenger reviews)
- Presents research findings to the sales team to support bid strategy and competitive intelligence.
- In coordination with the Proposal Specialist, manages the FOIA end-to-end process and communicates progress and results to all stakeholders.
- In conjunction with the VP of Strategy, senior leadership, and all stakeholders, the candidate assists in developing and maintaining a methodology to normalize quantitative data. Seeks and obtains approval of methodology from key stakeholders.
- Enters quantitative and qualitative FOIA information into the Salesforce data repository. Performs quality checks to ensure the accuracy of data.
- Analyzes FOIA information, building a qualitative and quantitative data set analyzing competitors' market positioning and pricing behavior in the transit industry.
- Develops key insights on competitors based on analysis of FOIA data.
- In partnership with the VP of Strategy, IT, and the data analytics team, manages the data repository and reporting tools to be used by the broader organization.
- Responds to ad hoc requests related to research and FOIA data.
- Manages all updates, statistics, references in Salesforce (calling SVPs and GM for information)Key Performance Indicators

Qualifications Talent Requirements: - Undergraduate in economics, business administration, data and analytics or other related fields. Graduate degree in business administration or management a plus
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following:
