AtWork Medical in San Antonio seeks skilled and compassionate PRN Registered Nurses for Day and Night shifts in acute care at a local hospital caring for *geriatric patients*. In this role, you'll provide direct patient care, delegate and supervise nursing tasks, and ensure smooth unit operations under physician direction. If you're a dedicated RN with a passion for exceptional care, apply today to join our team at AtWork Medical.*May be required to float to ICU floor (experience required)*Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patients' conditions- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians- Monitor and record patients' vital signs and medical information- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques- Assist in the coordination of patient discharge planning and follow-up careSkills:- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology- Proficient in performing ostomy care and managing ostomy appliances- Experience with dermal fillers and other cosmetic procedures- Ability to triage patients based on the severity of their conditions- Skilled in specimen collection processing and laboratory procedures- Familiarity with mammography techniques and interpretation of results- Competent in ventilating patients using appropriate equipment- Experience administering injections, including vaccines and medications- Knowledge of family planning methods and counseling techniquesPlease note that this is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and skills.
