Overview:The Facility Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Facility Maintenance Manager and works in alignment with the Facility Maintenance Lead. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of maintenance technicians in the day-to-day operations of maintaining the Chick-fil-A Supply Distribution Center (DC) in Hutchins, TX. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the Maintenance Manager in developing and implementing the maintenance program for the site throughout the new facility implementation. Once the site is up and running, this role will be responsible for supporting the site Maintenance Manager in managing the day-to-day maintenance activities, including trouble-shooting complex problems, assist with managing third-party facilities management providers, and leading the maintenance team operations. For more information, visit cfa-supply.com.Responsibilities:Lead the technician teams maintenance activities of the building envelope, building equipment, space occupied by Chick-fil-A Supply, and common areas of the site including directing/monitoring work performed by in-house team and third-party contractorsOperate as a supervisor and leader to monitor the maintenance teams performance and completion of maintenance activities including complex assignments through constructive feedback and coaching.Develop and deliver formal individual performance reviews supporting the growth and development of the technician team.Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing the activities/performance of the third party providersServe as an escalation point to help resolve maintenance or team related issuesSupport Maintenance Manager in the development of strategies and plans to be aligned with operational needs, minimize risks, and maximize efficiency of the assets and maintenance teamEnsure maintenance operations are performed in a reliable and cost-effective manner in compliance with safety, quality, compliance requirements and industry standards, and Chick-fil-A SOPs; understand new/planned regulatory changes and its impact on operations and required staffingSupport Maintenance Manager in the day-to-day supervision of maintenance systems, processes, and documentation associated with efficient and high performing maintenance organizationsAssist with inspections of the building shell, building equipment, and operations to pro-actively identify issues and ensure compliance with required maintenance standardsPerform regular walk throughs of the building to identify areas that need repairs or that shows signs of problemsIdentify reoccurring problems related to staffing issues or processes and identify possible solutionsSupport Maintenance Manager in monitoring team performance and developing process improvement initiativesSupport the coordination and communication with site leadership to discuss/coordinate activities that might impact each other from an operational and safety standpointPromote clear and open communication to cultivate good relations between the maintenance team and other departmentsCheck accuracy of activities performed by Maintenance Technicians and demonstrate knowledge of facility operationsMonitor shift schedule/workload to ensure reactive (corrective and emergency), preventive, and predictive maintenance is scheduled/completed in a timely manner and work closely with Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Lead, Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, and operations to coordinate/schedule and accomplish equipment and facility repairsDemonstrate planning and people leadership abilities to help coordinate with the Maintenance ManagerTrack open work orders to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and accurate and complete information is entered into the systemEnsure maintenance and facilities management records are properly maintained and safeguardedMaintain equipment in accordance with manufacturer specs and warranty agreement including preventive maintenance and use of spare partsSupport Maintenance Manager in monitoring performance and developing process improvement initiativesParticipate in the opex and capital planning process and repair vs. replace decisionsSupport Maintenance Manager in the selection/governance of third-party providersEnsure housekeeping, productivity, and quality of work standards are maintainedSupport compliance audits and quality assurance reviews; review performance reports and take corrective actionsSupport and conduct team training on required activities and desired outcomes; ensures the maintenance SOPs complied with and are routinely reviewed and updatedCoach team through effective execution, building capability and ownership of systemsSupport Chick-fil-A Supply Sustainment's initiatives to reduce energy consumption and waste generationMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma; certified maintenance technician7+ years of experience in maintenance within food manufacturing and distribution operations or similar operations; 3+ years of experience in a supervisory roleMulti skilled electrical and mechanical disciplines, including hydraulic maintenance and troubleshooting experienceMaintenance supervisory experienceProficient in equipment maintenance, mechanical design, and assemblyKnowledge of industry-leading practices and suggestions/solutions for continuous improvementAbility to evaluate and quantify operational and maintenance risks; possesses an uncompromising commitment to food safety for customers and overall safety for the organization and its employeesAbility to anticipate needs, multitask, manage shifting priorities, and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to think on ones feet, solve problems, and learn quicklyExperience leading and coaching maintenance teamsHighly motivated with strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilitiesAbility to delegate tasks and clearly communicate instructions and expectationsAbility to spot/resolve conflicts between team members and work with different personalitiesAvailability for on-call support and shift flexibility, as neededExcellent written/verbal communication skillsAbility to work in both a distribution/production environment and a corporate environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Qualifications:9+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance within food manufacturing, distribution, or similar environment;
