*Position Summary**Looking for full time/part time or PRN CNAs for all shifts*! The Certified Nursing Assistant is an integral role to the nursing team and has a significant impact on the overall delivery of care to facility customers. The CNA is responsible for providing quality care to customers and supporting the goals for shift objectives to enhance team efficiency and customer satisfaction.*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*1. Provide and assist with physical care of patients which will include but not limited to bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, incontinentcare, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation and range of motion2. Responsible for real-time documentation of patient care and observations3. Communicate timely with Licensed Nurse any observed or perceived changes in patients condition or behavior4. Assist in the dining process by preparing customer for meals; serves and collects trays, assists in setting up and feeding residents,serves refreshments. Completes meal assessment and records oral intakes accurately5. Responsible for patient transport to scheduled therapy appointments6. Assists in recreational, motivational and socialization activities of care program7. Responsible for timely response to call lights and providing appropriate response or service8. Responsible for regular rounding with customers to anticipate and identify needs and respond timely and appropriately9. Fully understand all aspects of patients rights, including the right to be free of restraints and free of abuse. Responsible forpromptly reporting incidents of evidence of patient abuse or violation of patients rights10. Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each patient in the delivery of services to them. Encourages growth andindependence as care progression warrants11. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of customer room. Assists in maintaining a safe customer environment12. Adhere to infection control procedures including but not limited to hand washing and isolation practices13. Adhere to Par Scanning procedures to ensure accurate tally of supple usage and availability14. Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional15. Maintain clinical competence through completion of annual continuing education requirements16. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the facility. This role also routinely comesinto contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.*Physical Demands*While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing,walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 60 pounds.*Position Type and Expected Hours of Work*This is a position in a post-acute setting that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Ability to recognize and react to emergent care situations and intervene while waiting for assistance, i.e. recognizing need for basiclife support, control bleeding, choking, etc.2. Basic computer skills. Must have an ability to learn new systems3. Proficient in the English language. Good communication (verbal and written), customer service and interpersonal skills4. Flexibility in responding courteously to immediate needs of internal and external customers; ability to establish priorities andmaintain productivity despite numerous interruptions5. Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with team members, customers and visitors; cultural sensitivityand ability to relate well and effectively in diverse workplace and with a diverse customer population6. Must be able to successfully prioritize workload, demonstrate initiative, and analyze situations to make sound decisions7.
