The permanent Controller position is situated in the Waco, Texas area.Key responsibilities- Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts- Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities- Meet client expectations by reviewing deliverables of self and team to make sure they meet client satisfaction- Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management- Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports- Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation- Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies- Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques- Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis- Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as neededRequirements- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field- Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued- Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required- Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred- Proficiency in strategic planning- Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience- Solid understanding of People Management- CPA or MBA preferred- Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds- Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problemsJob typePerm More...
