You will help to define best practices to ensure responsible cloud spend and help forecast future spend.You will be part of an exciting and challenging work environment, working with some of the best engineers in the industry. You will benefit from investment in technology, training, conference attendance, career development and cross-team growth opportunities.Key responsibilities of the role include:Developing and implementing cost optimization strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize waste across AWS servicesMonitoring cloud usage and spending patterns, identifying areas for optimization and cost-saving opportunitiesCollaborating with engineering and operations teams to align cloud resources with business objectives and performance requirementsUtilizing AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, and other cost management tools to analyse spending trends and forecast future expendituresEstablishing and enforcing governance policies and best practices to ensure responsible cloud spending and resource utilizationWorking with finance teams to track and report on cloud spending, providing dashboards for insights and recommendations for budget management and forecastingIdentifying opportunities for Reserved Instance purchases, Spot Instance utilization, and other cost-saving mechanismsConducting regular audits of AWS accounts to identify unused or underutilized resources, recommending decommissioning or rightsizing as necessaryStaying informed about AWS pricing updates, service offerings, and cost management best practices to continuously improve FinOps processesWho are we looking for?The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:3+ years of experience in financial analysis, cost management, or cloud computing, with a focus on AWSAbility to code in PythonExperience working with infrastructure as code tooling, such as TerraformStrong proficiency in AWS cost management tools and services, including AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, and AWS Cost and Usage ReportsExcellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insightsSolid understanding of cloud computing principles, architectures, and services offered by AWSExperience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders across different departmentsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas and findings to technical and non-technical audiencesProven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer is highly desirableWhy should you apply?Market-leading compensation plus annual discretionary bonusInformal dress code and excellent work/life balanceExcellent paid time off allowance of 25 daysSick days, military leave, and family and medical leaveGenerous 401(k) plan16-weeks' fully paid parental leaveMedical and Prescription, Dental, and Vision insuranceLife and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insuranceEmployee Assistance and Wellness programsGenerous relocation allowance and supportGreat selection of office snacks, and hot and cold drinksOn-site gym and car parkingby Jobble More...
